Alina A. Risser joined DeLaney DeLaney & Voorn, Ltd. as an Associate Attorney in 2017. Prior to that time, Ms. Risser worked as a law clerk at DeLaney DeLaney & Voorn, Ltd., and at The Office of the Cook County Public Guardian. Ms. Risser devotes her legal practice to Elder Law, focusing primarily on the prevention and civil prosecution of financial exploitation, adult guardianship, and handles governmental benefit applications and appeals. Ms. Risser speaks Russian, Ukranian, Polish and Flemish.

Ms. Risser is a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in Cook County. Ms. Risser is also a member of Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Currently, Ms. Risser is the Chair of the Veterans’ Legal Aid Society in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Risser is a zealous advocate for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.

Ms. Risser earned her J.D. at the John Marshall Law School, after earning her Master’s in Jurisprudence (Diploma Summa Cum Laude) from Kazan State University Law School (Kazan, Russia) and her LL.M. from the Catholic University of Leuven (Leuven, Belgium) in 2003. Ms. Risser interned with the University of Vienna as a legal scholar. She also holds a Certificate in Elder Law from John Marshall. Ms. Risser resides in the heart of Chicago, Illinois, loves to travel, but works a lot to perfect her skills as an attorney.
